How to Live Authentically

How to Live Authentically

The importance of simplicity, authenticity and downright disobedience.

Some of the best advice about modern life comes from an unemployed writer who lived alone in the woods and refused to pay his taxes. The great American thinker, Henry David Thoreau, was a writer, poet, philosopher, abolitionist, naturalist, tax resister, development critic, and historian.

He reminds us of the importance of simplicity, authenticity and downright disobedience. The 19th century transcendentalist whose most notable word was Walden – an inspirational text about self-discovery written during his two years living alone in nature – has a powerful message for us today on being authentic.

Thoreau says people are morally obliged to challenge a government that upholds hypocritical or flagrantly unfair laws.

Tap into the liberating mindset of this great thinker in this informative video.
