Can you do what you really want in life and forget the money? You must, says the late Alan Watts, famed philosopher, speaker and writer. Forget the money, because if that’s the most important thing:
“You will spend your life completely wasting your time. You will be doing things you don’t like doing, in order to go on living, that is to go on doing the things you don’t like doing. That is stupid. Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way.”
Too often we discard our dreams, going for the “sensible” job, instead of the creative unique expression of our souls.
Here Alan Watts says we must ask these most important questions: What do you want to do with your life? And what would you like to do if money were no object?
