Deva Premal and Miten: Singing the World into Being

Experiencing Transcendence through the Practice of Chanting

Deva Premal and Miten are international emissaries of the ancient practice of chanting. And it’s in these modern times of great stress, they say, that we can most benefit from the age-old traditions of mantra.

Mantras are a bridge to something that slows us down and puts everything into perspective.

And it’s when we sing communally that the benefits are most enhanced.

If singing helps us to be less serious it means we’ll be more playful with each other, and there’d be less aggression and less violence.

However, they say that regardless of the outcome, the most important thing is to simply sing and express love.

That’s really the best we can do, if we send out a ripple of love everyday.

Listen here to Deva Premal and Miten share their knowledge of ancient singing.

  1. Dear Friends!

How nice of you to ask about my feelings and opinion!!

I joined the 7 days of Gayatri in the beginning of January and it is still chanting within me.

I’ve been singing the Gayatri for many years at strong and special occasions (I accompany the dying and the mourning) as well as during cleansing sessions and healing sessions.

When we did this Gayatri singing together I already thought

and start every day with it, no matter where on our planet we are. Then we wrap our wonderful planet in the healing chanting all around the clock with all the different time zones.

As I love this idea, I started chanting immediately when I wake up.
    It’s wonderful!!

If we all sing between 8 and 10 in the morning, meditate for healing with purple light it is wonderful and healing!!

    Lots of Love,

    • Thanks so much for sharing Natali, we are glad the mantra resonated with you so much. Love and blessings from Team UPLIFT.

  2. Such a peaceful way to start my day — Wonderful interview! Can’t wait to see them again in Sedona in May!!! Thank you . . . Namaste’
